The UN Conference on Climate Change is being held this year in Bali from December 3rd through December 14th.

This year Marc Pop, GCX Director for Asian Operations, will be speaking at the conference on a topic dear to our hearts. His presentation is titled “Bio-fuels and carbon markets – current situation and perspectives.”

This conference is of particular importance as a result of the most recent Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report that states there is no doubt that climate change is occurring because of human activity. With 2012 quickly approaching, new Kyoto phases need to begin development. “We need to set the stage for a comprehensive agreement that tackles climate change on all fronts – including adaptation, mitigation, deforestation, clean technologies and resource mobilization” confirmed Ban Ki-moon, UN Secretary General.
